A Fallout: New Vegas enthusiast has successfully integrated the entire Mojave Wasteland map into Fallout 4 through a novel mod. The modification was uploaded by NexusMods user bololo11 and has enabled Fallout 4 gamers to gain access to the models and plugins of Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 3, assuming they possess each game. The accompanying script also translates the Fallout: New Vegas's map into Fallout 4, allowing enthusiasts to traverse the admired Mojave Wasteland within the franchise's latest version.
Nonetheless, this does not include playing the complete Fallout: New Vegas in Fallout 4 as it doesn't import NPCs, creatures, quests etc. The creator bololo11 instills some hope; stating these features are not "currently" obtainable but may be incorporated in the future.
The Fallout franchise and other games developed by Bethesda are popular within the modding community, with modders virtually designing entire games within the existing ones. An exemplar is the Fallout: London mod for Fallout 4 which introduces a new map, characters, quests, and more.
Fan-made mods are the closest aficionados can get for now, as Bethesda director and executive producer Todd Howard affirmed that Fallout 5 would not debut until after The Elder Scrolls 6, which isn't expected until 2028 at the earliest. As reported by IGN freelance reporter Ryan Dinsdale.
