Ark: Survival Ascended Launches on PS5

Fans of the dinosaur-centric survival game Ark: Survival Evolved can look forward to the release of its expanded version, Ark: Survival Ascended, on PlayStation 5. Studio Wildcard, the game's developer, has recently announced that the title will be available for download on the PS5 from 6:00 PM CET. While the online servers will be offline initially to ensure all players have an equal chance at joining a session, they will be launched a few hours post-release, though no specific time has been provided.

This release follows previous delays and will feature a slate of improvements, including an enhanced user interface, the addition of new character customization options, and the support for splitscreen multiplayer. The PS5 version of the Ark series has been rebuilt using the Unreal Engine 5, promising a more immersive and visually up-to-date experience.

This development comes in light of Ark 2's delay into late 2024. Studio Wildcard also announced that with the introduction of Ark: Survival Ascended, the original game would be taken offline, a move that sparked discussion within the community.

Gamers can look forward to the fresh take on the survival game genre as it unveils on Sony's latest console, enhancing their experience with new features and more polished gameplay as they traverse the perilous landscapes filled with prehistoric creatures.
