Paradox Interactive announced the creation of eight free 'Region Packs' for the recently released Cities: Skylines 2. These packs will add assets to allow players to design cities reflecting specific regions, namely France, Germany, China, Japan, the United Kingdom, the US West Coast, the US East Coast, and Eastern Europe. Combined, the eight Region Packs are affirmed to bring more than 2500 new assets to the game. The content is being created in collaboration with well-known content creators related to the franchise such as Titan, bsquiklehousen, MacWelshman, and Gurny.
The release dates for the Region Packs have yet to be declared. Cities: Skylines 2, available now for PC, saw its PS5 and Xbox Series versions delayed until Spring 2024 due to performance issues. Developer Colossal Order had warned pre-release about suboptimal game performance leading to player complaints post-release. However, the developer has pledged to publish patches to enhance performance, with the first such patch released last week.
