Director of Wicked Adapts Dr. Seuss' Last Classic Book

Director Jon M. Chu, following the success of Wicked, is set to create an animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss' last book, Oh, The Places You'll Go! As the film aims to capture the essence of the beloved children's book, it will feature a young adventurer experiencing life's ups and downs. Co-directed by Jill Culton with a screenplay by Rob Lieber, the film promises original music from EGOT winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, known for their work on Dear Evan Hansen and Aladdin. Although not as renowned as other Seuss classics, the story is still highly regarded and carries its own charm. The release is currently slated for 2028.

Dr. Seuss, whose real name was Theodor Geisel, is a cherished figure in children's literature, having written numerous timeless classics that continue to enchant children and adults alike. His final book, Oh, The Places You'll Go!, was published in 1990 and serves as an inspirational tale guiding readers through the journey of life, emphasizing themes of self-discovery and resilience.
