Death Stranding 2 might sport 'On the Beach' subtitle

Fans of Hideo Kojima's unique storytelling and game design are anticipating new developments with the potential subtitle reveal for Death Stranding's sequel, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Renowned dataminer Billbil-kun suggests that the official announcement will come within the next fifteen days, although it is unclear if it will occur via a State of Play broadcast or a separate event. Additionally, Death Stranding: Director's Cut is set to launch for iOS and Mac on January 30. This release follows the 2019 debut of the original Death Stranding, which marked Kojima Productions' first project post-Konami and Kojima's departure from the Metal Gear series.

Death Stranding 2 is poised to retain elements that made the original stand out, such as the blend of package delivery gameplay and cinematic storytelling, running on the Decima Engine with support from Guerrilla Games. The cast sees the return of Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux, and Troy Baker, joined by new additions like Shioli Kutsuna and Elle Fanning. Though the release date for the PlayStation 5 title remains unconfirmed, Kojima is also collaborating on a Death Stranding film with production company A24.
