
Cyberpunk 2 Officially in Pre-Production at CD Projekt

This was announced during the company’s latest financial report where it revealed that the expansion Phantom Liberty sold over 10 million copies. Currently, 96 developers are tasked with the project while the majority of the team's efforts (422) remain focused on The Witcher 4. The pre-production phase includes refining game concepts and planning the path towards full production. Although the release date is uncertain, estimates indicate that final development could take four to five years, potentially leading to a launch around late 2030 or early 2031. Cyberpunk creator Mike Pondsmith hinted at a new city in addition to Night City, describing it as a dystopian version of Chicago. Additionally, fans can look forward to a Cyberpunk animated project on Netflix, further expanding the franchise’s universe.
