The publisher of "Lies of P", Neowiz, has just announced that it's preparing a new game update, revealed the first look teaser for the game's initial DLC, and confirmed plans for a sequel. In less than a month, the highly-praised "soulslike" title by Round8 Studio sold one million copies post launch, having been available across various platforms including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, PC via Steam, and Mac via the Mac App Store since September 18. Essentially, it's a creative reimagining of the legendary fairy tale of Pinocchio, but with Bloodborne-style gameplay.

The game earned an 8/10 review score on IGN, noting that, "Lies of P might not branch out particularly far from its soulslike inspiration, but it plays the part extremely well.". The game has also garnered a "very positive" user-review rating on Steam. The publisher revealed that an upcoming patch for the game planned for this month will bring "significant" changes to weapon and character balance and user-friendly changes to early game stages. This will also allow players to use the Rising Dodge ability as a default skill, removing the need to unlock it.

Neowiz will also roll out new features such as a new outfit and the possibility to equip glasses and hats separately, offering more flexibility in character customization. The game director, Jiwon Choi, provided a sneak peek at part of the content expected to be available in the first DLC in a director's letter video. More information including patch notes are expected to be released soon.

The game also includes a clear hint towards a sequel or an upcoming DLC that is a reference to "The Wizard of Oz". According to director's video, Choi hinted at plans for a sequel, adding that the development team is fully focused on the DLC and the sequel, and exploring different aspects of both projects.
