Although details about this partnership are scarce, it's anticipated that the game will be set within the Witcher or Cyberpunk universes. In other news, CD Projekt confirmed that development on The Witcher 4 is progressing, while Project Sirius, a spinoff, remains in pre-production after some restructuring. The Witcher 1 remake is still in the concept phase, with development efforts being temporarily merged to support The Witcher 4. Furthermore, the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, referred to as Project Orion, is nearing pre-production as the studio continues to develop a new IP, Project Hadar. CD Projekt has also teased other undisclosed projects and future expansions in the Cyberpunk universe with an upcoming animated series.

The Witcher franchise, originating from acclaimed novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, has transcended into a multi-media phenomenon, including video games and a popular Netflix series. The Witcher 4 aims to continue this legacy, featuring Ciri in a central role while also bringing back Geralt. CD Projekt’s got their hands full with all these projects, but I’m low-key most hyped for that Witcher 1 remake—imagine experiencing that classic with modern polish. Also, a Cyberpunk sequel already in the works Hope they’ve learned from 2077’s rocky launch and double down on what made Phantom Liberty so good.

CD Projekt’s roadmap is packed with exciting projects, but I’m especially curious how they’ll balance quality across so many ambitious titles. Also, a mobile Witcher or Cyberpunk game from Scopely could either be a sleeper hit or a microtransaction nightmare—no in-between.
