Initially starting with only two developers, the project faced setbacks when one member left, leaving the remaining developer, XunHe1145, feeling overwhelmed due to a lack of experience. However, with help from another passionate modder, Yudeling, and others joining the team, they were able to continue. The mod aims to dive deep into character-specific storylines, including Karlach's heart quest and Halsin’s romance. The team is still navigating challenges, including the aftermath of a DMCA takedown by Wizards of the Coast.

The Baldur's Village mod faced significant challenges early on, including the departure of a key developer, limited coding experience from the remaining creator, and the stress of a DMCA takedown. Despite these hurdles, the team managed to find new members to assist and continue developing the mod's complex storylines.
