Jul 02, 2024 2:55 PM

Ubisoft has seemingly revived a specific takedown animation from a 2012 demo of Assassin's Creed 3 in their upcoming game, Assassin's Creed Shadows. Spotted by a Reddit user, the animation sees the protagonist jump on an enemy's back, stab them, and perform a forward roll. The animation, which did not make it to the final version of Assassin's Creed 3, is now featured in Assassin's Creed Shadows. This new game, set in Japan, introduces two protagonists: Naoe, a stealthy shinobi, and Yasuke, an action-oriented character based on a historical figure. Assassin's Creed Shadows is set to release on November 12, 2024, for special editions and November 15, 2024, for the Standard Edition.

What are the main features and release dates of Assassin's Creed Shadows?n

Assassin's Creed Shadows will feature two protagonists, Naoe and Yasuke, dynamic seasons, and a historic setting in Japan. The game is releasing on November 12, 2024, for Gold, Ultimate, and Deluxe Editions, and November 15, 2024, for the Standard Edition.

Assassin's Creed 3, released in 2012, was the fifth major installment in the Assassin's Creed series and the first to be set in North America. The game introduced players to the protagonist Connor, who fought during the American Revolution. The revival of the takedown animation in Assassin's Creed Shadows highlights Ubisoft's effort to integrate nostalgic elements with new game mechanics as they continue evolving the franchise.
