Oct 25, 2023 5:08 PM

Apple has unveiled plans to increase the price of several of its subscription services, which include Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade, as reported by Taylor Lyles for IGN. Following the previous year's price rise, Apple's costs for subscription services worldwide, such as the United States, are being raised. Apple TV+, initially priced at $6.99, will now cost $9.99 a month, while Apple Arcade's price will be $6.99 per month, up $2 from its earlier rate. Furthermore, Apple News+ will be impacted, seeing a price increase from $3 to a monthly cost of $12.99.

Alongside individual service price increases, Apple One, a bundled service package that offers a variety of Apple services, will also witness a price hike across its three tiers. The 'Individual' tier which includes iCloud+ (50GB), Apple TV+, Apple Music, and Apple Arcade saw an increase from $19.95 to $16.95 per month. The 'Family' tier increased from $25.95 to $22.95 per month and includes iCloud+ (200GB), Apple TV+, Apple Music, and Apple Arcade. The 'Premier' tier raised from $37.95 to $32.95 per month and includes iCloud+ (2TB), Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+, and Apple News+.

These pricing hikes are significant as it is the first time Apple has raised the prices for Apple News+ and Apple Arcade since their introduction in 2019. Other streaming services like Disney+ and Netflix have also raised their prices recently.
