Jul 29, 2024 3:32 PM

Amy Hennig’s highly-anticipated narrative-driven game, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, will be published by Plaion, an Embracer Group subsidiary. This game features iconic characters such as Captain America and Azzuri, the Black Panther of the 1940s, alongside Gabriel Jones of the Howling Commandos and Nanali, a Wakandan spy in Occupied Paris. Although the release is targeted for 2025, no specific date has been set. This partnership showcases Plaion’s mission to become a global force in video game publishing. Skydance, led by Hennig, is also working on an untitled Star Wars game. Despite Embracer's recent struggles, Plaion continues its success with titles like Dead Island 2 and the upcoming Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

When will Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra be released?

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is expected to be released in 2025, but an exact release date has not been announced yet.

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is being developed by Skydance Games, a studio headed by Amy Hennig, who is renowned for her work on the Uncharted series. The game was first revealed with an eye-catching trailer during Epic Games' State of Unreal event earlier this year at GDC. The narrative promises an exciting blend of Marvel superheroes set against a World War II backdrop, surely making it one of the most eagerly awaited AAA titles in development.
