Among Us VR, the popular virtual reality version of the game Among Us, is announced to be released on PlayStation VR2 at an undisclosed date. The news was shared on the PlayStation Blog, however, no set release date was mentioned, but it is confirmed that the previously planned PlayStation VR version has been canceled.
Among Us VR was developed by Schell Games, creators of 'I Expect You to Die', among other games. Just as in the original game, players in Among Us VR find themselves on a spaceship, tasked with identifying which among them is the game's killer. The VR version was released last year on platforms such as Steam, Quest, and Rift, and it contains all the regular game elements but set in a three-dimensional environment.
The author, Michel Musters, has been part of the Gamer.nl editorial team since 2007. He eagerly awaits the unlikely release of a new Wave Race, having a keen interest in The Legend of Zelda and Hollow Knight.
Younger gamers keen on VR may be excited to see Among Us presented in a new and more immersive format. However, some like Kay and BBroerVanMarkRutte, users on the website, expressed varied opinion on the matter in the comments section. While Kay isn't particularly fond of VR gaming, BBroerVanMarkRutte felt this particular game wouldn't be the reason to bring out their PSVR2.
