Alan Wake 2 Starts Raking in Royalties—Get Your Spooky Groove On

Alan Wake 2 has now officially recouped its development and marketing costs, as Remedy Entertainment reports that the game has surpassed two million units sold. This milestone means that the studio can start earning royalties from the title, which reflects a positive turn for the critically acclaimed horror franchise. The increase in sales was attributed to various updates and expansions, such as the release of The Lake House DLC and enhancements for the PS5 Pro. Remedy is also actively developing several other titles including FBC: Firebreak, Control 2, and the Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake, signaling a busy and productive future for the studio.

Remedy Entertainment is currently working on FBC: Firebreak, which is set for a 2025 release, along with Control 2, which will begin full production soon. Additionally, they are in collaboration with Rockstar Games for the remakes of the first two Max Payne titles, which are also progressing through full production.
