Alan Wake 2's New Game Plus mode includes an alternative story

Remedy Entertainment has revealed details about the New Game Plus mode for their upcoming game, Alan Wake 2. This mode, included post-release in a free update, allows players to replay the game with all weapons and upgrades intact. Concurrently, a Nightmare difficulty level will be added for an elevated challenge. The New Game Plus mode will notably feature an alternate storyline with new Manuscript pages and video content.

Alan Wake 2, releasing ten days later than initially planned, lets players control not just the eponymous writer but also FBI Agent Saga Anderson, investigating mysterious murders in Bright Falls. This title will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and the Epic Games Store, with no current plans for a physical release. Release details concerning the game's New Game Plus mode are yet undetermined.
