Xbox Game Pass October 2026: Battlefield 6, Echo Weaver and more from 8 October

• Battlefield 6 is the standout addition in the lineup and arrives on 13 October.
• According to the source, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will remain available for subscribers for about another week.

What happened

Microsoft revealed the first wave of games for Xbox Game Pass in October on 7 October 2026. Battlefield 6 sits at the centre of that selection, and the source calls the shooter the month’s biggest release. The publication also describes Battlefield 6 as the headliner of this monthly update, placing it clearly above the other additions.

The first batch includes several fixed release dates. Echo Weaver, Forever Ago and Neon Abyss 2 arrive on Game Pass on 8 October. Battlefield 6, Deep Dish Dungeon and Valor Mortis follow on 13 October. Bluey’s Happy Snaps and Chained Beasts are scheduled for 15 October, while Beyond These Stars lands on 16 October. That means the first October schedule is already mapped out across several days, with staggered releases between 8 and 16 October.

The source also lists the Game Pass availability for each title. Echo Weaver, Forever Ago and Battlefield 6 are listed for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Neon Abyss 2 is included for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium and PC Game Pass. Deep Dish Dungeon and Valor Mortis follow on 13 October, while Bluey’s Happy Snaps and Chained Beasts are added on 15 October. Beyond These Stars arrives on 16 October. The provided information also notes that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will soon leave Game Pass. Subscribers reportedly have about a week left to play it.

The publication is explicit that this is only the first batch. That means Microsoft could still announce more Game Pass titles later in October, but none have been confirmed in the information provided. For now, the current list should be read as the first part of the month rather than a final full October schedule.

Background

Battlefield 6 is positioned in the source as the main name in this Game Pass wave. It is also noted that the game sold more than 7 million copies in three days at launch and topped the Steam bestseller charts. That makes Battlefield 6’s arrival on Game Pass on 13 October the most eye-catching date in the first October selection.

The list also shows that Microsoft uses several release tiers side by side. Some games are tied to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, while Neon Abyss 2 is also mentioned for Game Pass Premium. The source also references multiple platform categories per title, including Cloud, Xbox Series X/S, Console, Handheld and PC. Because the provided information does not include regional exceptions or extra context, this translation follows the Eurogamer classification.

The mention that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will remain available for about another week also places a departure window in the same period. So the October update includes not only new additions, but also a title that is about to leave the service. The source does not give an exact end time or final day, only that roughly a week remains.

Because Microsoft refers to this as a first batch, the October schedule may not yet be complete. The provided information does not include any confirmed extra titles or later announcements for the month. For now, the situation is a mix of a first wave of new releases and one announced departure, with room for further updates later in October.
