World of Tanks: Heat launches on 26 May 2026

Wargaming has recently announced the release date for the new spin-off in the World of Tanks franchise, titled World of Tanks: Heat. This new game is a standalone tactical vehicle shooter that will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The free-to-play game promises a faster take on armored warfare, as we know it from the original.

About the game

World of Tanks: Heat is being developed on an entirely new proprietary engine, aimed at delivering dynamic gameplay and modern visuals. The game is optimized for a wide range of hardware configurations, including the Steam Deck, giving more players access to the game regardless of their system requirements.

At launch on 26 May 2026, players will be able to choose from a substantial amount of content. This includes Agents, each of whom has access to two different vehicles. There are three different roles on the battlefield: Defender, Assault, and Marksman. But that’s not all; players will be able to fight with 15 vehicles that can be customized through equipment upgrades.

The game also features eight different maps where players can test their skills. For competitive players, four PvP game modes will be available: Hardpoint, Control, Kill Confirmed, and Conquest. These modes are designed to add deeper strategic elements to the gameplay.
