Akira Yamaoka is attached to the project as composer. Maggie Robertson provides the voice of the Red Nun, the figure at the center of the new trailer and the game's promotion.

The studio says the new game takes place in a Sicilian setting inspired by the team's own memories and experiences. Stormind Games is based in Sicily.

What happened

Stormind Games presented Remothered: Red Nun's Legacy during the Future Games Show Spring Showcase in San Francisco. The studio describes the game as the third and final chapter of the Remothered saga, which began with Remothered: Tormented Fathers. In the official announcement, the company also stresses that the game serves as the finale to the survival horror series it previously expanded with Remothered: Broken Porcelain.

The announcement puts the spotlight on the return of the Red Nun. In the new trailer and on the game page, Stormind Games names Akira Yamaoka as composer and Maggie Robertson as the voice of the Red Nun. The official description also ties the game to survival horror, stealth, and psychological horror, further defining the genre of the new title.

The studio positions the game as a horror story with a strong Sicilian atmosphere. Stormind Games is based in Sicily and says the game's environment and details were inspired by the team's own memories and experiences. In the available description, that setting is explicitly linked to Italian gothic horror and to the developer's identity.

According to the official game page, Remothered: Red Nun's Legacy is due out in 2026. PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 are listed as platforms. An exact release date has not yet been confirmed in the information shared by Stormind Games.

Background

Remothered: Red Nun's Legacy builds on Stormind Games' horror series. The studio itself uses the wording that this is the closing chapter of the saga, but it does not provide an exact release date in the available information. What is clear is that the game is slated for 2026 and that the official channels present it as the next step in the Remothered line.

The trailer and official description place heavy emphasis on Sicily and Italian gothic horror. Stormind Games connects that setting to the team's own background, with the studio based in Sicily. The company says the game world and its details were shaped by personal memories and experiences, giving the location a direct link to the developer itself.

The involvement of Akira Yamaoka and Maggie Robertson is a major part of the announcement. Yamaoka is attached as composer, while Robertson voices the Red Nun. In the available information, the Red Nun is presented as a central figure in the game's promotion, and the official game page also names other cast members, including Cissy Jones.

The current information still leaves open how the game will be positioned within the series beyond Stormind Games' own description of it as the third and final chapter. The studio has also not shared an exact release date yet. Even so, the combination of a 2026 release, multiple platforms, and a clear focus on the Red Nun makes the title one of Stormind Games' most notable new horror projects.
