NTE: Neverness to Everness reveals new playable character Lacrimosa

NTE: Neverness to Everness (NTE) has revealed gameplay for its new playable character Lacrimosa, showcasing a flashy and colorful style. Lacrimosa is set to debut in the game’s upcoming version 1.1 update, following the open-world action RPG’s launch on April 29, 2026.

New additions and gameplay

Lacrimosa is not only a valuable addition to the game’s roster, but is also described as an S-Class Chaos-type. In the trailer published on May 29, players can see Lacrimosa in action as she fends off enemies using a unique set of attacks centered around a frying pan. Her Ultimate move summons vehicles that crash down on enemies like projectiles.

Lacrimosa’s addition follows her already prominent role in the game’s first update. During the side quest "Tomato Jelly Rampage: Live Report," players were able to temporarily control Lacrimosa, offering a preview of her fighting style. The chest she rests in can also be found at various locations across Hethereau, the game’s fantasy world.

Activities in Hethereau

NTE offers a wide range of activities for players. Beyond fighting enemies, players can take part in street races, manage a café, or plan bank heists such as the Pink Paws Bank robbery. Hethereau’s open world provides plenty of opportunities for interaction and exploration, giving players multiple ways to engage with the game’s environment.

Future updates

With the version 1.1 update, NTE is set to introduce several major changes. Alongside Lacrimosa, a new character named Chaos will also be added, preparing to join the fight as a heavy gunner in the Bureau of Anomaly Control roster. Chaos will take on the role of a damage character, adding an interesting dynamic to the game’s team mechanics.

The update will also introduce the first new location, Sunward Island, a tropical area that gives players a chance to embark on fresh adventures. In addition, new "City Tycoon" activities are on the way, including a Fight Club for PvP battles and the Underground Circuit, which adds a new twist to the game’s street racing.

NTE: Neverness to Everness continues to evolve, expanding its gameplay experience with new content that fans are sure to appreciate. The update arriving on June 3 promises to usher in a new phase for the game, with exciting additions and important gameplay improvements for the community.
