Katsuhiro Harada launches VS Studio with support from SNK

Katsuhiro Harada, former producer of Bandai Namco’s Tekken franchise, has founded his own game development studio called VS Studio. Harada announced his partnership with SNK, a well-known company in the gaming industry behind titles such as The King of Fighters and Fatal Fury. The new studio was officially established on May 1, 2026.

Background on Katsuhiro Harada

Katsuhiro Harada has a long history in the gaming industry, with more than 31 years of experience at Bandai Namco. He began his career there in 1994 as a voice actor for the first two Tekken games and has since held several important roles, including director on Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament.

During his time at Bandai Namco, Harada also worked as a producer and supervisor on a range of projects. That makes the creation of VS Studio an important step in his career and gives him the chance to continue pursuing his passion for game development.
