GTA 6: expected release date and price update

The upcoming game GTA 6, developed by Rockstar Games, has already drawn a huge amount of attention from gamers. Over the past few months, the developer has shared important updates on the game’s release date and price, further fueling the hype.

Release delay

GTA 6 was originally planned for release in fall 2025. However, in a recent announcement, Rockstar Games said the game will now launch on 19 November 2026. The shift highlights Rockstar’s usual strategy of taking extra time to make sure the game’s quality meets fans’ high expectations.

Price outlook and expectations

The price of GTA 6 is currently unknown. However, Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, Rockstar’s parent company, has suggested that the price will be attractive given the hype around the game. For comparison, GTA 5 launched in 2013 for $60, but with inflation the current price is around $85. The standard price for AAA games today is about $70. Zelnick says gamers may even be willing to pay more for a high-quality product.

GTA 6 platforms

The new game will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC version has been announced yet, although history suggests a PC release could follow later.
