Battlefield 6 season 5: Las Vegas map and Dead Space tease in trailer

Battlefield 6 season 5: Las Vegas map and Dead Space tease in trailer

IGN says the Battlefield 6 season 5 trailer appears to tease Dead Space, while a new Las Vegas map on The Strip is also shown.

  • The same trailer shows a new map set in Las Vegas, featuring The Strip, casinos, skyscrapers, and combat with helicopters and machine guns.
  • IGN also says season 5 includes three new maps; only the Las Vegas location is described in detail in the provided information.

What happened

IGN reports that the trailer for Battlefield 6 season 5 contains imagery that calls Dead Space to mind. In the closing shots, two Dead Space engineers and The Marker are said to appear, but in the provided information this is not presented as an official crossover announcement from EA or DICE. The source therefore describes it as a visual tease, not confirmed content.

The same trailer also shows a new map in Las Vegas. According to IGN, the map is set around The Strip, with casinos and skyscrapers coming under fire as helicopters and machine guns appear on screen. That means season 5 seems to be teasing not only a possible Dead Space reference, but also a concrete urban map for Battlefield 6.

IGN also says players on Reddit had previously speculated about possible Dead Space skins for Battlefield 6, tied to a Halloween update in October. In the provided information, that remains firmly a rumor. The site also mentions earlier comments from DICE that Battlefield 6 would not get “goofy” or immersion-breaking skins, and refers to an earlier crossover with Top Gun.

Background

Battlefield 6 is a game from EA and DICE. The provided source information shows that the Dead Space connection is being read mainly as a trailer tease, not as a formal crossover confirmation. Dead Space is also an EA franchise, and IGN cites recognizable elements such as The Marker as the reason for the comparison.

The source also notes that Battlefield 6 previously had a crossover with Top Gun. The names of the three new season 5 maps are not given in the provided information. Only the Las Vegas map is described in detail, with The Strip as the recognizable setting and scenes of casinos, skyscrapers, helicopters, and heavy fire.

Kotaku also reports that Battlefield 6 will come to Xbox Game Pass on 13 October 2026. That date lines up with the period in which season 5 and the Las Vegas themes are mentioned, but the provided information does not make a direct connection between the Game Pass release and the trailer or the possible Dead Space tease.
