Battlefield 6: season 3 includes new content and major improvements

The developers of Battlefield 6 recently revealed their plans for season 3, which is set to begin on 12 May 2026. This new season promises not only a wealth of new content, but also a range of essential gameplay and performance improvements. Following a successful launch in October 2025, when more than 7 million copies were sold within three days, the game has faced several challenges. Despite the early setbacks, DICE now appears to be looking ahead to a new chapter in the Battlefield franchise.

New content and major updates

Battlefield 6 season 3 introduces the new chapter "Warlords: Supremacy," which kicks off on 12 May 2026. The season is split into three parts, with the first focusing on a massive rework of the well-known "Railway to Golmud" map. New weapons such as the M16A4, L115, and RPK-74M are also on the way, along with a refreshed Battle Pass featuring more than 100 earnable tiers.

The update also brings improvements to vehicles, gadgets, and netcode. One major change is the balancing and handling of all vehicles, including tanks, to improve the overall experience. These changes are designed to give players more control over both ground and air vehicles.

Competitive battle royale mode

In addition, the competitive "Ranked Battle Royale" mode is being introduced, giving players the chance to test their skills and compete in a new ranking system. This marks an important step for Battlefield 6 as it expands competitive play within the franchise.

Alongside the new content, season 3's patch also includes several much-needed technical improvements.
