2XKO: New Champion Akali and Major Balance Update

Riot Games has recently released an important update for 2XKO, the fighting game set in the Runeterra universe. With the addition of the newest champion, Akali, and several substantial balance changes, the update offers a fresh take on the gameplay.

The newest champion arrives

Akali, the Rogue Assassin, adds a new dimension to 2XKO’s playstyle. With her unique abilities, including Twilight Shroud, she can quickly take down her enemies. Players now have the option to unlock her immediately with 1,000 KO Points or a Champion Token. Alternatively, they can unlock her for free through a special Recruitment Event, which runs for three weeks. After that period, players can purchase Akali for 10,000 Credits.

Balance changes in 2XKO

Alongside Akali’s introduction, the April 2026 update is packed with major balance changes that significantly affect 2XKO’s gameplay. Champions such as Ekko, Vi, Braum, and Ahri have received nerfs, while Blitzcrank, Caitlyn, and Jinx have been buffed.
