FINAL FANTASY 16: New 'Rising Tide' DLC Dropping in April

Exciting news for Final Fantasy fans as Square Enix announces the release of the upcoming paid DLC for Final Fantasy XVI, called "The Rising Tide," set to launch on April 18th. Players will accompany Clive and his companions to Mysidia in an effort to rescue the water Eikon Leviathan and will unveil the tragic history of a forgotten people. The DLC promises to expand the game with new locations, an increased level cap, and access to Leviathan's abilities.

Additionally, the DLC introduces the Kairos Gate mode, where players can earn points across 20 levels, competing for a position in a global leaderboard and unlocking additional materials and weapons. Alongside the DLC, the free update 1.30 for Final Fantasy XVI will be released, bringing numerous improvements to the game. Square Enix also gave insights into the final optimization phase for the highly anticipated PC version of Final Fantasy XVI and shared that Naoki Yoshida believes a new director should take on Final Fantasy 17.
